Northwest Physiotherapy Group

In July 2016, Northwest Physiotherapy Group relocated to newly constructed, purpose-built facilities in Essendon. The services of NWPG extend to surrounding areas, including Moonee Ponds, Strathmore, Brunswick West, and Niddrie.

Originally established as Moonee Ponds & Essendon Physiotherapy Clinic in 1990, the clinic underwent changes, with the Roxburgh Park arm sold in October 2013 to streamline operations. This strategic move allowed the principals to concentrate on the main Moonee Ponds physiotherapy clinic.

The two principal physiotherapy experts at Northwest Physiotherapy Group, Russell Visser and Graham Nelson, bring extensive experience to the practice. Russell served as an AFL physiotherapist for the Western Bulldogs Football Club (formerly Footscray Football Club) from 1988 to 1996. Meanwhile, Graham holds a Masters in Manipulative Therapy. Both have cultivated strong connections with local doctors, specialists, sporting clubs, and gyms.

Treatment at NWPG is founded on meticulous assessment, with the physiotherapy experts participating in ongoing external and in-house education to uphold the highest standards. The clinic maintains open communication with other health professionals, fostering excellent referral links with sports doctors, specialists (including orthopaedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, and rheumatologists), podiatrists, and personal trainers.
