At our practice, we take pride in our team of therapists, each distinguished in their respective areas of expertise. Steve Royes, a Sports Physiotherapist, holds the esteemed title of APA (Australian Physiotherapy Association) Titled physiotherapist. We’re fortunate to have Lisa Tomlinson, who has undergone postgraduate manual therapy training in Canada, and Redmond O’Mahony, with a post-graduate Masters of Science in Sports and Exercise Medicine from Ireland, bringing valuable experience in sports rehabilitation and pain management.
Our roster also includes physiotherapists Emma Coghlan, accredited with Level 4 DMA Clinical Pilates and an Exercise and Sports Science Degree, and Amy Winter, a rare specialist in managing and treating lymphoedema, encompassing massage and pressure garment fitting.
Understanding Titled Physiotherapists
A Titled physiotherapist is someone who has specialized in a specific field of physiotherapy, either through extensive experience or further education at the Masters level. The journey involves rigorous examination by specialized physiotherapists, chosen not out of job requirement but as a commitment to enhancing skills, clinical reasoning, and improving client outcomes. The distinction lies in heightened skills and reasoning, translating to superior care not only for complex issues or sports injuries but also for more common injuries through up-to-date treatment methods.
Special Interests
Our therapists go beyond university training, holding what we term “special interests” with a level of expertise gained through numerous professional development courses and real-world clinical experience. Alongside standard physio care, we offer trusted expertise in:
This commitment ensures that our clients receive specialized care and expertise for a wide range of conditions and needs.
