Following this, we conduct assessments and administer treatments while you’re seated, standing, or lying on our adaptable treatment table, utilizing Physiotherapy methods and potentially integrating the Feldenkrais technique. Our arsenal includes ultrasound machines, low-level laser therapy, and dry needling, supplemented by hands-on techniques such as soft tissue manipulation, massage, and joint mobilization.
Many patients require multiple consultations or ongoing one-on-one care, and we gladly accommodate family members when needed. At the conclusion of your initial session, we collaborate on a treatment plan. This may involve additional individual consultations, participation in small group rehabilitation sessions, or floor classes. Over time, you may progress to our Independent Exercise Rehabilitation Program, where customized exercises are introduced in small group settings by our physiotherapists, drawing upon their expertise as Pilates and Feldenkrais practitioners. These sessions incorporate Pilates reformer and trapeze tables, fit balls, and various stabilization tools.
We also encourage home exercises that require minimal equipment.
Once you’ve completed your personalized program and both parties are confident in your readiness, you can access Pilates equipment at reduced rates during designated times without supervision. Additionally, our physiotherapists conduct Feldenkrais and Pilates floor classes for up to 15 individuals at “The Chapel Space” on Angove Street. This serene environment fosters mindful movement practices aimed at enhancing awareness and efficiency, reducing and preventing chronic pain.
Our Pilates classes concentrate on core strength, awareness, and balance, emphasizing exercise quality. Properly executed Pilates routines challenge old habits, significantly bolster core strength, and are supervised by experienced physiotherapists who provide individualized attention.
